  • Andy is the founder of Quantum Performance. A native of the UK, he started his career as a professional football (soccer) player with Luton Town F.C. but his career was cut short by injury. Driven by his passion to help other athletes avoid injury and maximize their performance potential, he studied a Physiotherapy degree. Andy holds a BSc in Physiotherapy, an MSc in Sports Science, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

    At Quantum Performance, he works with athletes and teams from the NBA, NFL, EPL, UEFA, MLS, PGA, and Olympics. Athletes travel to his high-performance facility in LA for off-season work, biomechanical testing, or for injury rehabilitation.

  • Dr. Matthew Hancock is an experienced leader in human performance, with a career spanning elite sport, academia and the military. A former Commissioned Officer in the British Army, Matt now leads human performance innovation efforts within defence to enhance operational readiness, reduce injury risk and optimise human performance in complex environments.

    He is the Founder & Managing Director of Shapesmith Performance, a company that bridges the gap between research and real-world application, delivering performance coaching, analysis and educational services to athletes, coaches and performance professionals.

    Working with England Rugby, Matt’s PhD explored injury risk and match events in youth rugby, identifying trends, high-risk scenarios and evidence to support targeted prevention strategies. He has held research, teaching and advisory roles across institutions including the University of Bath, St Mary’s University, Sports & Wellbeing Analytics and Podium Analytics, has presented his work at international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals.

    Matt is recognised for his ability to integrate data-driven insight with practical application across high-performance settings, bringing a multidisciplinary approach to injury prevention, performance analysis and physical preparation.
